Review of South Palm Beach, Florida

Great small beach town on Palm Beach Island
Star Rating - 2/24/2021
My wife and I have lived in South Palm Beach for the past 13 years. We feel that this very small town of less than 1,500 residents is a mostly unknown hidden jewel on Palm Beach Island. The town is only 5/8 th of a mile long with A1A being it’s only road. It’s made up of approximately 25 condos and a few private beachfront houses. The Atlantic Ocean is on the east side and the intracoastal on the west with SPB sitting between the towns of Palm Beach and Manalapan. What makes this tiny town a great place to live is it’s prime location. It’s only 15 minutes to PBI airport and situated between 2 public beaches ( Lake Worth Beach and Lantana Beach), Two 5 star resorts ( 4 Seasons and EAU Palm Beach resort ), 2 well known and terrific Beachfront restaurants ( Dune Deck and Bennies on the Beach) and a shopping center that has a Publix Supermarket as well as 3 other restaurants. All of the above are within walking distance ( for most) no matter where you live in South Palm Beach. This is a great place to live and/ or retire and a very safe neighborhood.
The only reason ( and it’s a big one) for 4 star rating instead of 5 is that SPB beaches are very narrow due to storms and erosion.
